STACEY GERSHON

Stacey Gershon is an independent curator and art advisor working with a diverse group of businesses, private individuals and non-profits in acquiring and managing their art collections.  Selected current clients include Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton,  Anderson Tax, O’Shaughnessy Asset Management, Bernstein, Litowitz, Berger and Grossman and the Renate, Hans and Maria Hofmann Trust.

 

Stacey was the head curator for the JP Morgan Chase art collection for twenty-five years managing a collection which consisted of over 35,000 works in 450 locations globally. She was responsible for acquisitions, all managerial aspects of maintaining a world class art collection, working across lines of business to market the collection as well as producing several catalogues about the collection. She curated exhibitions which travelled internationally as well as throughout the United States. A few include Photoplay: Contemporary Photography from the JPMorgan Chase Collection which travelled to eight cities for two years in Latin and South America and New Art From New York at the Yokohama Museum of Art, Yokohama, Japan. She was responsible for site specific commissions and installations at international headquarters and operation centers such as Seoul Korea, Brooklyn, London and Germany. 

 

Stacey is a member of Art Table and member and past president of the Association of Professional Art Advisors.
